THE kANKAKEE YOUTH HOCKEY CLUB DIFFERENCE
We at the KYHC pride ourselves with providing a safe and family friendly environment on and off the ice. We encourage the development of our players individually as hockey players, but just as important as teammates. We believe in teaching them valuable lessons that can be applied long after they leave the rink – leadership, commitment, good sportsmanship, self-discipline, personal growth, hard work, teamwork and outstanding character. Our teams play out of Ice Valley Centre' , a newer clean rink that we are honored to call home. We are constantly improving our coaching staff with training to provide travel hockey level training for your hockey player. With AA travel hockey ice time at house hockey prices and a competitive High School program, KYHC offers a great hockey home for your player.

PARENTS PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE OFF THE ICE TO MAKE SURE YOUR PLAYER'S EQUIPMENT FITS CORRECTLY. NOT ONLY WILL YOUR PLAYER BE BETTER PROTECTED, BUT A PROPER FIT SHOULD GIVE THEM THE MOBILITY THEY NEED ON THE ICE TO PLAY THE GAME WITHOUT ANY RESTRICTION.

Your player's safety is KYHC's number one concern. Our KYHC coaching staff attended a “Stop the Bleed” training held by the Kankakee Count Sheriff's Department. With this training our coaching staff was taught how to quickly and effectively stop major and minor bleeds that could happen to our players or staff within games or practices. While we hope to not have to use this practice, we are very thankful to the Kankakee County Sheriff's Office for providing each of our head coaches with a small first aid kit that contains all items needed to stop a bleed and also providing us with this great training!
