Nick Olczak

I began playing organized hockey at ten years old as a Squirt with the Kankakee Coyotes.  I continued with the Coyotes through my Bantam years (2013-2017).  From there I went on to play high school hockey for the Crown Point Bulldogs (2017-2021).

During my Senior year, my then high school coach brought me on as an Assistant Coach for a Bantam team that he was also coaching at the time.

I had a great time coaching the Bantam level team and continued the following Spring session.  That same Spring, I also served as an Assistant Coach with the Crown Point Bulldogs.

Fall 2021-2022, I was promoted to head coach of the Bantam team as the previous coach was no longer available.

During that season, I was also hired as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Midwest Training And Ice Center for their youth hockey program.

After continuing to coach the following Spring, I took advantage of the opportunity to play a season with Olivet Nazarene University.

Just recently I made the difficult decision to not return to college hockey.  I believe that my real passion is in  coaching.

 I think the Kankakee Irish we’ll be a great place to call home and I’m looking forward to a great season!
